We Believe
For those of you who know me; know I love Good Charlotte. I find their music really speaks to me and I can relate to it a lot. I have recently rediscovered one of their songs called we believe (which is the video above). I was listening to it and then I decided to look up the lyrics and part of the song really stuck out for me;

The last part of that really makes me think. How many times have I just been so frustrated with the world and everything in it and just get so worked up about everything and want to give up. And I sometimes I just sit there and think "woe is me" but then I remember what an amazing God I have. So then I have to lay all my worries and fears down to him and in a sense get back on the horse and follow him.
The last two lines that I have from the lyrics reminds me of Matthew 6:25 - 34, where it talks about how God takes care of the birds of the air, and how much more important are you, so why worry, he will take care of you. And how the wild grass is dressed, he will dress you even better. It ends with saying so don't worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will worry about itself.
So "when the world is too much for you to take, just lay it down and follow me [Him]" and remember "I'll be [he is] everything you need, in EVERYWAY!!"

I love how some times secular songs can have so much more meaning! As I was reading the lyrics of that songs, I could feel the lump forming in my throguht cause it is true! We all need to lay it down! I will be keeping you in my prayers! Love you!

It's hard to stop worrying. Beleiving means living it. and living it means trusting Him. And trusting Him means not worrying.

Great song, Jen, and thanks for the reminder. After all the struggles I've had in the past few months, I remembered in church today that all I have to do when I find it all too much is to look up - put my attention on Jesus. It was like a revelation today even though I've known it for a long time. Why do I always forget?
I was making a pita pizza and getting ready to watch a movie tonight (I Walk the Line) and was remembering how we used to watch movies together at college. I wanted to call you up and say, "Wanna come over and watch a movie with me?"
